Empezando a Diseñar….
Hola a todos! Bonito día no? esperemos que así nos quedemos unos días más…
Espero les haya gustado el blog anterior acerca de la limpieza. Ya que hicimos este paso (que creo que fué uno MUY grande), ahora si empezemos con la decoración en sí. Diseñar y decorar puede ser muy fácil pero muy complicado al mismo tiempo. Desgraciadamente no todo el mundo tiene el tiempo ni las ideas para decorar su propia casa, simplemente por que siempre estamos ahí y todo lo vemos igual. Sin embargo no hay por qué preocuparse, existen remedios muy sencillos para hacer el proceso mas fácil! Aquí algunos tips muy útiles:
Es importante que te sientas y definas qué es exactamente lo que quieres. Quieres un diseño Contemporáneo, Tradicional, o tal vez Moderno? Colores neutrales? Un espacio tranquilo? O uno lleno de color? También es importante saber qué tipo de muebles quieres, no te preocupes por los accesorios, ya que eso es lo último del proceso. Empieza por estos pasos para que se te haga menos confuso. Es importante seguir este orden:
Estilo
Colores
Muebles
Iluminación (Lámparas, Candeblabros, etc)
Arte y Accesorios
Plantas

Ya que tengas esto definido, empieza a comprar revistas de decoración y arranca tus imágenes favoritas, esto te ayudará a concretar y visualizar la idea que traes en mente. Este paso es súper importante, ya que esto va a conceptualizar todo lo que traes en tu cabecita. También ayuda si cortas pedacitos de tela, los colores de pintura que te gustan (estos los puedes encontrar en HomeDepot, o Wal-Mart o Frazee, por decir algunas, y son gratis). Ya que tengas todo lo que quisieras, pega todo en una cartulina y verás que luego luego encontrarás exactamente lo que buscas.
Un Collage de Diseño, un sueño hecho realidad! Agrega TODO lo que te guste para que te inspires!
Es súper divertido hacer estos pasos, aparte de que te distraes de todas las preocupaciones del día, te ayuda a relajarte y tu cerebro empieza a desarrollar tu lado creativo. Qué emocionante es saber que esto es para tu casa! Con más ganas lo vas a querer hacer, claro, también ayuda si te sirves una copita de vino y escuchas tu música favorita mientras haces todo esto. Para las que no toman alcohol, una tazita de té siempre ayuda, o una copita de agua fría con unas rodajas de limón amarillo y pepino….salud!

Getting Started….
Hello Everyone! It’s such a nice day! I hope it stays like this at least a couple of more days….
I hope you found my last blog useful. Now that we got rid of the clutter (which I think was HUGE step), we are now going to start decorating. Designing and decorating can be easy and very complicated at the same time. Unfortunately, not everyone has the time or the ideas to decorate their own home, simply because you’re there all the time, you don’t see any difference. No worries though, there are many tips that make the entire process quite easy! These are some of them:
It’s very important that you sit down and define what style would you like for your space. Do you like Contemporary, Traditional, or perhaps a Modern style? A neutral pallet? A peaceful environment? Or a space full of color? It is also important to know what type of furniture you like, don’t worry about accessories at this time, that’s one of the last steps. Start with these steps so it’s not confusing. It’s important to follow these steps as they appear:
Style
Color
Furniture
Lighting (Lamps, Chandeliers, etc)
Art and Accessories
Plants
You love something fun and colorful? Try Bohemian Chic...

Once you have defined all of the above, start buying design magazines and tear off all images that you like, this will help you visualize and conceptualize all the ideas you have in mind. It also helps if you cut small pieces of fabric and then go for color swatches at your local HomeDepot, Wal-Mart or Frazee, to name a few. Once you have all the images/ideas you like, make a design collage. This will make it much easier for you to visualize so you know exactly what you want.

It’s super fun to do the entire process, it also works as a perfect distraction and makes you forget about all your day to day worries, trust me, it will distract you at least for 30 minutes. You also put your creative side of the brain to work. How exciting it is to know that you’re doing all this for your house! You’re going to want to do it even more! It also helps if you pour down a glass of wine and listen to your favorite music while you do this. For those of you that don’t drink, a great cup of tea always helps, or a glass of ice cold water with lemon and cucumber slices…cheers!
